Altera acquires 104 built-to-rent units in Bloom Park, Merwede

We are pleased to share that the construction of Bloom Park officially commenced on March 3, marking a significant milestone in the development of Merwede — a car-free and sustainable urban district in Utrecht that will eventually feature 6,000 residential units.

The first project, Bloom Park, is located in the northern part of Merwede and consists of 189 residential units, including 85 homes for the owner-occupier market and 104 built-to-rent units. Altera has acquired all built-to-rent units in this phase, 41 of which fall within the mid-market rental segment, contributing to the supply of affordable housing in the Utrecht market.

Bloom Park is being developed by Boelens de Gruyter and G&S& and is being built by Janssen de Jong Bouw | a JAJO company. Orion Investment Partners is involved as an investment manager on behalf of the seller. The first units are expected to be delivered in 2027.
